Job Responsibilities:
- Research and Analysis: Conduct research on food safety, nutrition, policy frameworks, and regulatory practices to support decision-making processes.
- Policy Support: Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies related to food standards, hygiene, and public health.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams, government agencies, industry stakeholders, and public health organizations to promote awareness and compliance with food safety regulations.
- Data Management: Collect, analyze, and interpret data on food safety incidents, trends, and emerging risks to inform policy recommendations.
- Communications: Contribute to the creation of informational materials, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders on food safety initiatives and best practices.
- Project Assistance: Support ongoing projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing food safety standards, consumer protection, and regulatory enforcement.
- Learning and Development: Participate in training sessions, workshops, and seminars to deepen understanding of food science, nutrition, regulatory frameworks, and public health principles.
Job Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program (e.g., Food Science, Nutrition, Public Health, Policy Studies, Government Relations, etc.)
- Strong academic background with a keen interest in food safety, regulatory affairs, and public health.
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools is desirable.
- Previous internship or work experience in a related field is advantageous.
