Job Overview:

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office is seeking motivated and enthusiastic interns to join our dynamic team. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in international relations, diplomacy, and public service. As an intern, you will support the FCO’s mission and work on projects that contribute to the UK’s foreign policy objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Research and Analysis: Conduct research on international political, economic, and social issues. Prepare briefing papers, reports, and summaries for senior staff.
- Support for Diplomatic Missions: Assist in organizing events, meetings, and visits. Provide administrative and logistical support for diplomatic activities and engagements.
- Policy Development: Contribute to the development of policy recommendations and strategies. Participate in policy discussions and provide input based on research findings.
- Communication and Outreach: Support the FCO’s communication efforts, including drafting press releases, social media content, and other communication materials.
- Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative duties to support the day-to-day operations of the department. This includes data entry, filing, and scheduling.
Job Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in International Relations, Political Science, Economics, Law, or a related field.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Interest in international affairs and commitment to public service.
- Previous internship or work experience in a related field is a plus.
